All forms of politics have been banned in Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). In the 93rd meeting of the Syndicate of the University on Sunday, it was decided to ban politics in the campus. This information has been informed in a circular signed by the Registrar of KUET Engineer Md. Anishur Rahman Bhuiya.
It is said in the notification that, according to section 44 (5) of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Act-2003, all teachers-officers-employees of the university are prohibited from involvement and activities with all kinds of political organizations and any of its organs. Legal action will be taken against those who violate this law.
The notification further informed that the association and activities with all kinds of political organizations and any of its organs have been declared prohibited for the students of the university. At the same time, any kind of political gatherings were also banned.
